Gift from the Garden

Posted by on Jul 13, 2015 in Uncategorized | 2 comments

Hello all!!! Thank you for stopping by Westside Paper Creations today.  I am so every excited to share with you a great card today.   You may recognize the design though the sizing is a bit different.  I love how each design can have a all new life with different stamps and paper  Today’s card features the stamp set Gift from the Garden and Pretty Petals Designer Series Paper Stack.  SO ON TO TODAY’S CARD……

Gift from the Garden 4

Don’t you just love the three flower pots?  I sure do.  I am looking forward to using this set for many more projects to come.  The Gift from the Garden Stamp Set is a classic rubber stamp that is available in two different mounts, wood or clear.  Wood is by far my favorite stamp mount along with Stampin’ Up! high quality rubber stamps.  It is defiantly a winning combination.

The Details of this card are:

  • The Lovely background paper from Pretty Petals Designer Series Paper Stack (cut to 5 1/4 by 4)
  • The Calypso Coral layer behind the Pretty Petals paper really brings the entire card together (cut to 5 3/8 by 4 1/8)
  • The card base is a piece of Very Vanilla  card stock cut in half  (the long side at 5 1/2 inches) and scored (4 1/4 inches)
  • I used StazOn Jet Black Ink to stamp the image.  Using the Stamp A Ma Jig I stamped the image multiple times to achieve really dark image.
  • The Essential tool is Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I used dimensionals to pop up the top layer  witch gave this card some depth

Here are some ways to step this card up:

  • Change the colors and the paper to give the card a very different look. Though the second card does not look completely different it is brighter and more vibrant than the original card
  • Add a stamped image to the inside of the card and to the envelope.  I just love the gloves and the watering can!!!!  They both add some personality to the card.

One Big Meaning and Remarkable You

Posted by on Jul 12, 2015 in One Big Meaning, Remarkable You, Stamp A Ma Jig | 0 comments

Today’s card just blew me away when I first made it.  It was about a month ago, I was getting ready for our local Garden Tour (Historic Decatur Garden Tour).  They asked me to set a booth up of garden inspired cards.  This was my favorite card I mad for this event.  I was so very inspired by how easy these two stamps combined to make one Amazing card.   The two stamp set used are One Big Meaning (the set used to make yesterday’s card) and Remarkably You.

Here is a look at the stamp sets:

When I made this card I was so overwhelmed with the results and how absolutely beautiful the card turned out.  I decided to make several versions using  different flowers from Remarkable You and different thank you’s from One Big Meaning.

Here are the Details:

  • The Stamp A Ma Jig is a must!!! To line everything up just right.  My up line Brian King has a great little video explaining how to use this great tool. Check out his video at Stamp A Ma Jig video by Brian King.  Once you get the hang of the Stamp A Ma Jig it is a breaze to line up this card.
  • The Whisper White Note Card with a Whisper White panel.  The panel is just a sligt bit smaller than the note card.  The size of the note cards  is 3 1/2 by 5  and the panel is 3 3/8 by 4 7/8.   Use the dementials to pop up the panel after you have stamped your image.
  • Stamp your images on the panel using StazOn Ink.  I used StazOn ink in Stone Gray.  Though our StazOn Jet Black or the Stampin’ Up! color Basic Gray would work as well.

It is that simple to have a beautiful card.  To amazing images come together for a easy and quick card.  It would be easy enough to make sets of this card and give as birthday gifts or even Christmas gifts.  Who  would not love such fabulous hand made gift.   Both images are bold and create a WOW factor when stamped together.

Weather you are giving this card as a gift or as a thank you remember to step it up.  I stamped my envelopes with coordinating flower.  Use your Envelope Liners Framelits to line the envelopes.  Also, make this cute little bag to go along with your card.  More details about this bag are coming up soon.  I hope you love today’s card as much as I do.  Please let me know witch one is  your favorite.  Have a happy Saturday!!
