Abstract Impressions Bundle

Abstract Impressions Bundle

I love that Abstract Impressions is Bundled with a floral die and butterfly!  I gotta feeling you will too!  The floral die is absolutely gorgeous!!

The color combination is all new Stampin’ Up! colors as well!  Mango Melody, Gorgeous Grape, Granny Apple Green, and  Gray Granite

Abstract Impressions Thank You

  • The rose is stamped using all three layering stamps. The base is Mango Melody stamped off once. The second layer is Mango Melody at full strength.  The third layer is Grapefruit Grove. Some of the roses have all three layers. Some only have two of the three layers.
  • The purple flower is Highland Heather for the base. This color stamps a lot darker than it looks when dry.  Then Gorgeous Grape stamped on top
  • The leaves are Granny Apple Green. The inside of the leaves are Granny Apple Green stamped off once
  • The final step was to add some Gray Granite dots by statistically inking one of the flower stamps

The Creative Way

I am super excited today to start a new blog feature! The Creative Way!

The Creative Way  –  A Product Feature

The idea is to select one Stampin’ Up! product, bundle of products, or suite of products for a month-long creative journey.  The Feature will be every Monday and Friday with a few other days sprinkled in.  That means you will get to see at least 8 projects made from the same product during the month!!!!  The paper projects will feature different color combinations, techniques, and card designs  giving you a variety of ways to use one stamp set or other product.

For May I have selected one of my favorite Stamp Sets from the up coming Annual Catalog, Rooted In Nature!  It is part of the Nature’s Poem Suite of products.  This suite is Beautiful!!!

Rooted In Nature

Rooted in Nature Stamp Set is available as a wood mount or clear mount set!  I personally love wood mount stamps.  I’m kinda old school that way ?  It is also available as a Bundle with the coordinating dies. The bundle gives you a 10% savings.  Yeppie!!!

Nature

Rooted In Nature Bundle

One thing you might not know about Rooted In Nature is it was designed to coordinate with the ever so popular set Lovely As A Tree! So, you know at some point over the next month I will be using them together!!!

Nature’s Poem

The Designer Series Paper is Nature’s Poem.  This paper is Gorgeous!!! The patterns have a very earthy feel to them!  Then there are two of leaves that remind me of rubbings but even better!!!  And one pattern reminds me of flower prints or leaf prints.  The colors in the Nature’s Poem Paper is Blackberry Bliss, Cajun Craze, Grapefruit Grove, Mint Macaroon, Petal Pink, Rich Razleberry, Soft Suede (my favorite brown), Tranquil Tide, and Whisper White.

Also, in the Nature’s Poem Suite is twine, leaves trinkets, and a coordinating cardstock pack (petal pink, tranquil tide, and soft suede)

Now, that I have shown you the products that I will be using for May’s The Creative Way projects….let’s get on with why you are here! That’s a card of course!

The Creative Way

  • I love the simple beauty of this stamp set!!  Especially, the leaves in the set!!!!
  • The colors are Grapefruit Grove, Always Artichoke, and Whisper White. I used Always Artichoke (retiring) But, this card would be just as lovely with the returning Mossy Meadow
  • What better of a sentiment can you get than ….Be Strong, Be Happy, Be You! So perfect

Share what you love – make a difference

Today is the day!! You can order your Share What You Love Bundle.  The Stampin’ Up! sentiment of the heart states… To love what we do and to share what we love, as we help others enjoy creativity a worthwhile accomplishment…in this we make a difference.  The Share what you love bundle honors the statement o the heart. There are actually three bundle choices.  One for every style of paper craftier!  The just getting started bundle!  Witch contains the Love What You Do stamp set. Two ink pads, some paper, and a stamp block .

Share What You Love

The second bundle, for the enthusiastic paper crafters has two stamp sets (Love What You Do and Make a Difference), card stock, ink pad, and embellishments .

The third bundle aka Got To Have It All…has three stamp sets including the Statement of The Heart. Also included is Share What You Love Designer Series Paper, ink, and embellishments.  The Statement of The Heart stamp is only available in this bundle!

Besides the three bundles. You can also order the new In-Color ink pads!!!!

I knew I wanted to use the Make A Difference Stamp set! This set is so lovely!

Make A Difference

Make A Difference Stamp Set

Anyone who knows me, Knows that I love a good alphabet set! And this one is awesome!  The font is beautiful!  The stamps work together so easily.  Just imagine beautiful envelopes, personalized card backs or gift tags, or specific sentiment

The Share What You Love Suite not only honors the statement of the heart,  its products celebrate Stampin’ Up’s 30th anniversary.  So pearls it was. The Share What You Love Designer Series Paper was hand watercolored by one of Stampin’ Up! artist with shimmer watercolors to give that pearl look

I also knew I had been dying to use the Lovely Floral Dynamic Texture Impressions Embossing Folder!  This embossing folder is beautiful!

Lovely Floral

Lovely Floral Dynamic Embossing Folder

So, on to the card!   I decided on a color combination taken right from the Designer Series Paper.  Mint Macaroon, Grapefruit Grove, and Blackberry Bliss.  Mint Macaroon and Blackberry Bliss are two former In-Colors that are returning as part of the base color collection from Stampin’ Up!

Make A Difference

  • The first thing was to emboss the Mint Macaroon with the Lovely Floral Embossing Folder.
  • I knew in the back of my head that I wanted to use the dots from the Designer Series Paper, so the second step was to combine the embossing and the dots….aka figure out the design
  • I also know that I wanted to use the Make A Difference stamp set. So, I decided on a simple sentiment.
  • The final step was to add texture and embellishments

Make A Difference

  • The Hello was stamped in Basic Black on Whisper White.  Then it was cut out to make a banner. The final step was running the edges through the Grapefruit Grove ink.
  • The doily was sponges in Mint Macaroon. And then in a different spot I used the light Calypso Coral Stampin’ Blends.  I tried inking it first very heavily in Grapefruit Grove.  But, it did not dry.  The blend worked very well.  And the very light sponging did as
  • The White twine that is part of the Share What You Love Embellishment Kit was added to the sentiment .As well as the metal rose
  • The bakers twine in the embellishment kit was separated into the two colors behind the Hello Banner
  • The final thing was to add some of the Share What You Love pearls.

Introducing the 2018 In-Colors

I’m sure you have heard by now that we have new In-Colors! The 2018-2020 In-Colors are awesome! They will be available to all in the up coming annual catalog (June 2)  There are 5 new colors which are…Pineapple Punch (my favorite), Blueberry Bushel, Grapefruit Grove(the most perfect peach), Call me Clover, and Lovely Lipstick . I’m saying that Pineapple Punch is my favorite and it is….I was so hoping for a bright Sunny yellow! And boy did Stampin’ Up! deliver!!! It is awesome. The other 4 colors are just as amazing!!!

In May, there will be a special pre-release bundle available to all! Share What You Love Bundle will include the Love What You Do  stamp set from the up coming Annual Catalog!

Love What You Do

Love What You Do Stamp Set

The bundle also includes designer series paper, ink, and embellishments.  Also available are the 2018 In-Color ink pads!!  So, I decided to combine the Love What You Do stamp set and the new In-Colors for a little parade of sorts.

Lovely Lipstick is a beautiful pink red that will make your heart skip a beat!!! It is such a beautiful rich pink red and will be perfect for flowers, backgrounds, and so much more!

Love What You Do with Lovely Lipstick In-Color

  • This is the easiest card I have ever made!  The background stamp just lends itself to a very clean style!
  • The Background wash of color was stamped with Lovely Lipstick .
  • Then using Basic Black .I stamped the flower and sentiment .
  • The final step waturess to add a few Metallic Enamel Shapes

From here, I played with the card design to step it up a bit!  Also in each of following cards features the Diagonal Stripe Background Stamp .

Diagonal Stripe Background Stamp

Diagonal Stripe Background Stamp

If you have not gotten this stamp yet.  You defiantly need to grab it up before it is gone!  It will not be returning in the up-coming catalog . So go get it now! I promise you will use it all the time!!

Love What You Do with Blueberry Bushel In-Color

  • The card was turned on its side and a strip from the Diagonal Stripe was added.
  • The washed background was Stamped with Blueberry Bushel by stamping off once then stamping onto the paper
  • The flower and sentiment were stamped at full strength .
  • The final step was to add a bow using the Whisper White twine.

Love what you do with Call Me Clover

  • Yet again, I turned the design on its side
  • The wash background was stamped with Call Me Clover as well as the Diagonal Stripe
  • The sentiment and flower were stamped with Basic Black ink
  • Finally, adding a combination one new twine in the Share What You Love embellishment kit and Whisper White twine

One of my absolutely favorite color combinations is yellow and blue….or is it blue and yellow.  Anyway, before I degrees…I just had to share how awesome Blueberry Bushel and Pineapple Punch are together

Love what you do with Pineapple Punch

  • The wash background was stamped with Pineapple Punch
  • The Diagonal Stripe, sentiment, and flower were all stamped with Blueberry Bushel
  • The final touch was adding a few Metallic Enamel Shapes

The last but defiantly not least is Grapefruit Grove.  It is just a happy peachy orange!  I’m not a huge fan of oranges….But, I sure do love this color!  It also, looks classic paired with Blueberry Bushel

Love what you do with Grapefruit Grove In-Color

  • The wash background was stamped with Grapefruit Grove
  • The Diagonal Stripe, sentiment, and flower were stamped with Blueberry Bushel
  • The final step was adding some twine. The Grapefruit Grove twine is from the Natures Twine Set .(Available in Up Coming Annual Catalog)  This twine is a stiffer twine.

I hope you enjoyed this little introduction to the New 2018-2020 In-Colors.
