Over the weekend I attended a stamping event in Nashville! I learned so much useful information and had a great time stamping. Later this week I will show you the cards we made! They are really cute. One lady there had taken the time to color the Inside the Line Designer Series Paper form Sale-A-Bration and shared it with us all. Faye’s coloring skills are out of this world! She is truely talented …

Inside the Line Designer Series Paper
Here are some pictures of Faye’s coloring

Faye’s coloring made me want to color the Inside the Lines Paper… So, Sunday I did just that. Now I did not color the entire page. I could have though. I love to color it is very relaxing and takes my mind off of outside things… I chose a section of the paper and colored it with my prismacolor pincles.

After coloring the section, I cut down the paper to fit on a card. Because, I worked so hard on the coloring, I decided to keep the rest of the card quite simple. Even though I did not use any blues in the coloring. I went with Dapper Denim for my first card layer. Same is true for the second layer. So Saffron added a softness to the over all card.
- Choose a contrasting color for your mat. It makes the colors pop!
The next step was to make a banner. Instead of the triditional flag banner I used the layering circles and the stiched shapes (circle) to make a rounded banner. The sentament is a Holiday carryover item, Basket of Wishes.

One of the stamp sets that made me squill the most at on stage was the Beatles and Bugs stam set!!! Everyone around me was like really? I just thought it was so adorable. Maybe, it’s being rased by a science teacher. Maybe, she taught me to find beauty in unexpected places. Like the bright colors of beatles and bugs…..don’t get me wrong some bugs are just gross…like roaches…ewwwww….others thought like lady bugs are quite pretty. All red with their polka dots!!! The beatles and bugs set defantly celebrates all the bright and fun colors of bugs…
Check out all of the different colored beattles and bugs you can make! I love this picture from the catalog because it shows you all the posibilities with this set!
I was working on a card for the latest Global Design Project and stumbled across the perfect opertunity to use the fun stamp set. This weeks challenge is a CASE the designer challenge!
I love the soft dots ontop of the crumb cake. And the stiching is amazing! One day I am going to lear how to sew! This card is so elegant and beautiful!
I wanted to recreate her dots because I loved them so much! The thought was to stamp colored dots and then over stamp them with craft white to soften them up! And I did this using Cajun Craze, Dapper Denim, and Daffodil Delight. And it came out just like I wanted…I was looking around for a stamp set I wanted to use and decided on the Beatles and Bugs set. So I made my crumb cake square and chose a beatle… This is where things went sideways…it was at this point I decided to stamp the other beatles and bugs as my dots! By doing this though, I totally lost the beautiful soft feel of the card. I ended up with bold and fun! It works though…still staying with the card design made the bold bugs work!
Are they not the cutest little bugs you have ever seen? I think so! And they were really easy to stamp. The stamps are multiple step stamps. So, you stamp the color then another color for some, and finally the black outline.
I have been reacently really trying to make a effort to remember to decorate my envelope! So for this one I stamped my main bug on the outside front. And then on the back flap stamped all the bugs I used as dots.
Anddng little tuches to the card makes it even more special! And I just think these bugs are awesome!!! I still want to squill at how darn cute they are!!!!!
If you have a child in your life who loves to explore the outdoors then this set is a must! How fun would it be to make them a woodsy card with some of these bugs!
