Make and takes from the Nashville Gathering for Greatness

Posted by on Feb 9, 2017 in Sweet Treats | 0 comments

I shared earlier in the week that last Saturday I went to a stamping event in Nashville. The event wax the Tennessee Gathering for Greatness.  We had a great time learning  from Lisa. She is a welth of information and ideas! Lisa travles all over sharing her ideas with other demonstrators. Her gatherings are called Gathering for Greatness! I love this name because, when Stampin’ Up! Demostrators gather Great things are going to happen!  Besides hearing what Lisa had to say, I enjoyed getting to spend time with fellow InKing Royalty! We Royals always have fun when we see each other!

Me, Lisa, Katie, and Kelly

We had two opportunities to make cards that the host had designed for us! They fetured two stamp sets bundles cool treets and lift me up!

The first stamp bundle we used was the  Cool Treats bundle

Cool Treats bundle

I have this stamp set but, really have not had the opportunity to use it much! It was fun to see what all could be made!

I think this is such a fun layout!

To give the ice cream some demention we sponged color on the edges of the scoops of ice cream.

You can see that my cherry ice cream is melting onto my blueberry ice cream…

I love this card!

  • You could change up the designer series paper and have a totally different look!

This shaker card used the fun new Sprinkles Embellishment. They are so pretty!

  • If you make shaker cards this is a must have!

The second stamp bundle we used was Lift Me Up!

Lift Me Up bundle

I love the versatility of this set! Perfect for just about any occasion! I used this set last week. You can see that card here.

This card makes me happy! The happy colors and the balloons floating along in tbe clouds!

  • This is a keeper of a color combination. Bermuda Bay, Crushed Curry, and Watermelon Wonder

Clean, Simple, and Perfect! When you have a great element lit this balloon…you really do not have to do anything elase with the card! This card has the matallic enamel shapes in gold. I am now inlove with these little gems! They are awesome!!!!

This treat bag was so cutely decorated! It had our very own pack of matallic enamel shapes!!!

I’m leaving you with one more picture! Kelly and I went to a local mexican restraint and they had a sign that said “let’s taco about it” so, of course I had to have a picture…being the dork that I am…

CASE the Catty Pal’s Blog Hop

Posted by on Feb 8, 2017 in celebration duo, Happy Celebration | 6 comments

Welcome to the Pals Blog Hop for February 2017. We are thankful you stopped by to take a look at our 2017 Blog Hop monthly themes.  This month we are CASE’ing a project shown in a current Stampin’ Up! catalog. After all, with the Annual, Occasions and Sale-a-Bration catalogs available right now, there is much inspiration from which to choose. We hope you enjoy our creations.

You may just be starting the Blog Hop or may have come from the previous link from the Line-up on the Pals Blog Hop listing shown below.  The full lineup will help you move along from blog to blog so you may see all the projects.

Stampin’ Up! does such a great job showing us exctly how to use or favorite stamps, inks, and accessories.  Through videos and in catalog samples.  I love the boken look that is created in one particular sample in the Occasions Catalog.

This card just is so fun and happy! I love the bright colors with the simple layout!  After watching the Stampin’ Up! video on how to use the new Celebration Duo Texture Impressions Embossing Folder. I knew I had to have the Happy Celebration stamp set and the Celebration Duo folder.

Happy Celebration Stamp Set

The Happy Celebration stamp set gives you so many choices to make bold staments with circles, triangles, and paint spladder!  And smaller word stamps to pair with the bold happy and celebrate….

Celebration Duo Texture Impressions Embossing Folder

These cool embossing folders actually create a debossed word on the paper!

I really wanted to keep the boken look of the card.  So I kept the card basically the same as the original. The only changes I made was the color and I did mot add the shaker elements….

  • The colors are Pool Party and Mint Macaroon
  • The card base is Daffodil Delight with a layer of Bermuda Bay
  • The two sizes of of circles in the stamp set really makes the boken easy to do. Just stamping multiple times to get a layered look.
