A Big Thank You!
A few weeks ago , I was head over heals involved in a copic coloring class. Copic jumpstart by Sandy Allnock. I loved every minuet of this class. And I can not even begin to tell you how much I learned form Sandy. So, if you are looking for a great place to learn Copic coloring check out her class. I only own a few Copics but, I do have a set of Prismacolor markers. They are both alcohol markers. The Prismacolors preformed very will for this class. Today’s card is a result of one of my coloring projects for this class. I fell in love with the new Stampin’ Up! stamp set Love You Lots during this class. The elephant, frog, and ladybugs are just so much fun to color…
Are they not just the cutest little sketched animals ever!!! After spending time coloring the image I decided to keep the rest of the card quite simple. I have been trying to teach myself how to embrace open space on a card. Some times this can be tricky…. But, with a well colored image it really does not take much to make it pop off the page. And besides after coloring a image that takes time. You don’t want it to be overshadowed by everything going on with a card. I did decide to pair the elephant with “A Big Thanks” from the stamp set Perfectly WrappedThis is another must have stamp set from the new catalog. I am already loving having the bold sentiments in my stash!!!!
Here are a few details:
- I stamped the image with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink . When stamping I masked the little mouse.
- Then colored the image using my gray Prismacolor markers.
- I stamped the sentiment with the same black ink
- The card base is made from cherry cobbler card stock. The final card size is 4×4
- For a quick and easy envelop I used the envelope punch board and a sheet of cherry cobbler card stock.
Be sure to check out Sandy’s Copic Jumpstart class. It is defiantly worth the time! She has loaded it full of information.
