Lawn Fawn Village Heroes

There are just some stamp sets you need to tell others about!  Village Heroes by Lawn Fawn is one of those sets for me. For many reasons, it is super cute, it supports a cause that I adore, and it celebrates community Heroes! You can’t get any better than that!  100% of the net profit goes to Feeding America! How awesome is that!!! I have had this stamp set for a while and I am just now getting around to sharing it with you! This was how Lawn Fawn decided to help during Covaid 19.  Just so you know, I have no affiliation with Lawn Fawn nor do I benefit from sharing this with you. I just think what they are doing is really awesome!

I have had this stamp set out for over a month sitting on my desk waiting for me to use it.  That’s when Kathy over at The Daily Marker started her 30day coloring challenge. So, naturally, this was the first set I decided to color!  You can follow along with Kathy and others over on Instagram by following the tag #thedailymarker30day and Kathy at The Daily Marker

I made four cards and have plenty more colored images to make even more cards for my village heroes.  The village heroes’ stamp set is full of images like hospitals, fire stations, churches, fire trucks police cars, school buses, and so forth. My first three cards use basically the same layout I just varied up the images

• I used a stencil (MFT Square Extraordinaire Stencil) to create my square
• I masked off a road and ink blended it with my Picket Fence life-changing blender brushes and destress oxide black soot ink
• Masked the road and used the MFT Drifts & Hills to create grass using peeled paint distress ink
• The sky is you guessed it MFT mini cloud stencil and broken china distress ink
• The little flower pot is from the Lawn Fawn stamp set Village Shops.

• I used the same process here as above
• The grass I did spritz it with water to add texture
• I also used a little of the new speckled egg distress ink to the sky
• The final touches were gel pens to add white dashes to the road

• This card I decided not to use the cloud stencil. Instead, I used the little clouds in the Village Heroes stamp set
• I also forgot to add the dashes to the road. But I think you still get the idea it is a road
• The purple building is from the village shops stamp set

• The grass and road were created using masking and ink blending. The grass is Jalapeno ink (Lawn Fawn) and a wee bit of pilled paint distress ink
• The sky is Summer Sky ink (Hero Arts bold ink) and a tinny bit of Indigo ( Hero Arts bold ink)
• The papers used there’s is Stampin’ Up! Poppy Parade, the gray is Simon Says Stamp Smoke, and the white is Paper Source Eco white(at least that’s what I think it is) to be honest it was a stray piece of card stock and I made four-card layers from it.  Lucky the ink blended so nicely on this paper
