Birthday Blossoms
I am so excited to be sharing with you today a card featuring the stamp set Birthday Blossoms. This is a new stamp set for the Annual Catalog. This was a must have when I first looked through the catalog. I just love the look of the sketched flowers and leaves. It also, coordinates with the pansy punch. Whoop whoop!!!! It is so wonderful how Stampin’ Up! brings us products that coordinate so well. It really makes creating a fun endeavor. Is this stamp set not just totally adorable. I love everything about it!!!!
Just a little about the creation of this card. This card was created for a class that was back at the begin of July. The class featured Birthday cards. The ladies created this card and another great little birthday card. We also made gift certificate holders and a cute little gift pouch. The next class will be on August 9th from 2 to 4 pm and we will be making cards and journal featuring the stamp set Kinda Eclectic. I would love for you to join us!
Here are the details of this card:
- Wild Wasabi card stock cut at 5 1/2 inches and scored at 4 1/4 to make the card base. Use your bone folder to burnish the scored edge.
- Tip Top Taupe card stock cut to 5 3/8 by 4 1/8. Then stamped with the leaves in Tip Top Taupe ink.
- Stamp the pansy in Tip Top Taupe on Watermelon Wonder card stock. Punch out the pansy using the pansy punch.
- Cut a piece of White Jute Ribbon and fray the edges.
- Cut a square from the Wild Wasabi card stock. Stamp it with the “Have a Beautiful Birthday” stamp in Watermelon Wonder ink. Then stamp the small flowers in Tip Top Taupe ink. Make sure to use the Stamp-A-Ma-Jig to get it all lined up right!!! :>
- Cut a square from the Watermelon Wonder card stock.
- Glue the two squares together using multipurpose glue. Also, glue the Tip Top Taupe layer to the card base.
- Using glue dots and just a little glue add the White Jute Ribbon to the card base.
- Using multipurpose glue add the pansy to the square layer
- Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the square layer over the Jute Ribbon
I have just a few plants on our front porch this year. One of the plants, a begonia has produced the most gorgeous blooms. I think the color is just so vibrant and full of life. I have just a few pictures of the bloom for you. It reminds me of the Watermelon Wonder color used in today’s card.
