Creating with others

I love when I get to meet new paper crafters! This past weekend I got the opertunity to introduce three ladies to the wonderful world of card making.  A sweet friend asked me to give a class for her and her friends. She had been to a few classes and wanted to share paper crafting with friends.  So we decided on a date and stamps we would be using.  She loves the Glamper Campers. So, this was our “theme”  It just so happens that Stampin’ Up! has two different camper stamps!

One camper is in the You’re Sublime stamp set (retiring) and the other is from the Glamper Greetings stamp set

You’re Sublime Stamp Set

I just love this little rounded camper!!! We dressed this little guy up with mint stripes and a pink door!!!

I’m a little late to the game but, the Playful Palette Designer Series Paper Stack is Awesome!!!   I bought this paper stack specifically for these ladies and this class. Well,  I am in love with the patterns and the fun cor combinations!!! It is happy happy happy papper?  And right now it is on sale because it will be leaving us soon!!!  You don’t want to miss out on this fun paper!!

The second card we made was using the Glamper Camper stamp set!

Glamper Greetings Stamp Set

This card was designed with new stampers in mind! I love how this set can be used with just simple stsmping for a  great card. Or you can add all the little extras for something extra special

Going Global

Going Global

This stamp set was not on my Must Have List!  (I’m really not sure why)  I am loving everything about it!   And decided that I love it so much that It would be the focus of the First stamp class of the Year!  I supper excited to be bringing you a new series of classes.  All from the Occasions Catalog and Sale-A-Bration!  It is an exciting time!!!  So many different  and new products to play with!!!!  I hope you will join me for this class.

One of my biggest surprises from the Occasions Catalog is how much I love the paper stack Going Places.  the picture in the catalog really does not share how beautiful the marble paper in this set really is. I am loving all the marble.  I think I could use it every day for something!!!!

Going Places Designer Series Paper Stack

Going Places Designer Series Paper Stack

The inspiration for this card came from the Going Places Designer Series Paper Stack.  I love how this marbled paper looks like the earth.  Well, kinda

IMAG2783

The card Base is Delightful Dijon card stock cut at 5 1/2 inches and scored at 4 1/4 inches.  The layers are Lost Lagoon, Mossy Meadow, and the Going Places Paper Stack.  The ribbon is the Lost Lagoon 5/8″ striped cotton ribbon from the Annual catalog.

A few tips:

  • the Triple Banner Punch makes making banners such a breeze
  • the mini Glue Dot’s are an easy way to add ribbon to a card.  Especially, when there are layers.  Just add the glue dot’s to the back of the ribbon and attach to back of the card layer.
  • Attach the banner to the world layer before adding to the card base.
