Welcome Back, Welcom Back, Welcome back…..
Welcome back, Kotter! Today is the Blogging Friends Blog Hop! We are paying homage to School Starting with fun School day ideas!
I am very thankful for my extremely rich education. When I was very young living in Selma, Alabama I learn about Martian Luther King Jr. and others who had the courage to stand up for equal rights for all. Then when we moved to North Alabama where they helped build space shuttles. I got the chance to learn all about Space, jet pollution, and gravity. Just to name a few. There were so many other experiences that taught me how to be proud of who I was! And to be proud of my very rich and southern education! Thankfully, 98% of my teachers were awesome. And, those that challenged me taught me to be strong and fight for what I wanted in life. Both of my parents were teachers. Their friends were educators. I got to see first hand all that teachers did for there students. So, as we gear up for another school year. Let’s all thank our favorite and least favorite teachers for the role they played in our education!
So, I have two cards for you guys today! Let’s get started. Using the Crafting forever stamp set.
I have very much enjoyed this stamp set! The three pens are one of my all-time favorite images. I am very much a fountain pen enthusiasts so, the fact that Stampin’ Up! included one in this adorable pen set.
I had a lot of fun making this card! First I originally planned on watercoloring backgrounds with different inks. The day I decided to work on my cards, I got up watercolored a few backgrounds. Thinking the next step was going to be to heat emboss the pens in white on the backgrounds. Well, I went to work. And while working I was mulling over this card plan That’s when I decided that the pens sure would look nice tone on tone! That’s what I went with! I did use a small splash of my watercolor backgrounds behind the sentiment. Buy the way, that sentiment is from Well Said.
This card was completely an accident. Exactly what do I mean??? The panel was laying on the floor on the top of a pile of backgrounds I made when I first got the pigment sprinkles. And inspiration hit me! Oh, the pot of brushes would be absolutely perfect on that ink spot.
I love how a simple background and a bold image can be combined to create such a fun card! I used the word welcome. I’m debating on adding a back or welcome to 3rd grade….you get the idea. But, I really like the simple welcome.
Each of your comments makes me smile! Please, comment HERE.
Thanks for stopping by today! I hope you will continue to hop along and see all the other Back to School inspiration!
Peace my Creative friends-

As always, beautiful cards! I love that you added a pot of pens to a swoosh you had “laying on the floor.” You are such an amazing artist, Jennifer! ♥

Love that theme song and your cards too! I really love your colouring! Beautiful. Accidental cards are the best. 🙂
