Global Design Project…#GOP012

This weeks challenge over at Global Design Project is CASE the Designer.  This week we are challenged to CASE the very talented Mr. Brian King.  He is amazing and full of ideas to make stamping so fun!  GDP012 Case the Designer

The idea of the challenge is to take any elements of this card to make your own card.  I decided to use the colors the soft blue and white with the bold red.   Then I wanted to use the square shape… I also used the basic layout for the card.  I did not have any cute little penguins or other winter animals.  So, I replaced the penguins with the trees from Festival of Trees.  festival of trees bundle

This is a great stamp set in the Annual Catalog.

The card base is Mint Macaron card stock cut at 10 inches and scored at 5 inches.  The frame is made from Cherry Cobbler card stock and the Squares Collection Framelits.  Inside the frame the background is Soft Sky that was stamped with the little snow flakes from Holly Jolly Greetings.  Stamp the flakes with versa mark ink then add White embossing powder.  Heat emboss the snow.  IMAG2526

One tree is inside the shaker and the other is predominantly on the outer layer.  It is hard to tell but, there is a layer of snow on the inside of the shaker as well as the two layers on the outer layer.  The shaker consist of sequins and glitter (white and silver)  The trees are stamped with Mint Macaron ink on shimmery white paper.  The sentiment is stamped with Smoky Slate ink.  IMAG2518

Joyful Season for GDP

Global Design Project challenge this week is CASE the Designer.  The Designer Kylie Bertiucci.  Kylie is a uber talented Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator in Australia and part of the design team over at Global Design Project! I have a hard time CASEing cards and making them my own.  I see a card I love and want to case it just like it is.  Because it’t perfect!  So, when looking at Kylie’s card that is perfect!  I wanted to keep with the sketch of the card. And I loved her color choices.  So I decide to keep close to what Kylie created. Case the Designer

Don’t you just love what Kylie created for us to CASE!

The colors used are Tip Top Taupe, Cherry Cobbler,Very Vanilla, and Crushed Curry.

The Joyful Season stamp set is so much fun to use. This was my first time playing with it and I adore the sketched look.  And then they provide you with stamps that add color to the inside of the sketched stamp.  This gives you so many options of how you can use this set. Joyful Season

The Peace & Joy is from the Stampin’ Up! bundle Holly Jolly GreetingsHolly Jolly Grettings Bundle

I just got this bundle and I am so excited about all the wonderful possibility.  The die cut words are so adorable.  I love the font!   And the coordinating stamp set give you so many different word combinations

Remember to decorate your envelope.  I decided on the envelope to not add the inside color stamp to the Cardinal.  I am really liking the look of just the sketched Cardinal.
