Joyful Season
Well, it is officially the Holiday’s. Thanksgiving is upon us and that means Christmas is just around the corner. With this in mind I have a great quick and easy Christmas Card! I tend to procrastinate during the Holiday’s. Every year I say that I am going to send Christmas Cards early. This NEVER Happens…. I am always last minute. I am one of those who is proud that my cards are in the mail before Christmas Eve. And I always say. Remember that Christmas starts on Christmas Day. It is a season….So, as long as my card arrives before the end of the Christmas Season…I’m good…. All these things I tell myself and anyone who will listen. This being in mind. I love the idea of quick and easy Christmas Card that is sure to please anyone.
I made these cards this morning for my Grandmother to send to her brothers and sisters for there Christmas Party. The insperation for the card is a CASE from a instagram and a artist May Sukyong Park. You can check out her bolg at www.mayholicraft.wordpress.com
I just basically copies the layout of this card but, used Stampin’ Up! products. Joyful Season is a pretty cardinal and branch. That lends to many different looks. So you could actually make several different versions of this card. And that’s what I did for you. I made one version that my Grandmother will be using then I made two other versions. And looking at this picture. I just may make a third later today. Look for it on my instagram page. You can find me at Westside Paper Creations.
I totally loving that Stampin’ Up! gives you the inside and the outline sketch. This makes for so many different possibilities.
This was the first card I made. It is basically the exact same as the inspiration card. I stamped the images using Real Red, Crushed Curry, Early Espresso, and Soft Suede. Then using the Project Life pin I added a border around the edge of the card. The Sentiment was stamped in Basic Black. It is from the Stamp Set Reason for The Season. The card base is made from Thick Whisper White card stock. I used Stampin’ Dimentionals to pop up the top layer.
This card is also very similar to the inspiration card. I did change the colors up a bit. I used Mossy Meadow to for the border and the sentiment. The card base is also Mossy Meadow. Instead of using Stampin’ Dimensionals I glued the layer down to the card base using Multipurpose Glue.
This card I turned the whole thing on its side and used the Joyful sentiment from the Joyful Season stamp set. The border is Mossy Meadow. This cardinal I stamped in Basic Black and then stamped the inside with Real Red. The card base is Real Red with the layer glued down to the card base.
