Happy Mail and Designer Series Paper Sale

Posted by on Oct 7, 2016 in Uncategorized | 0 comments

Saturday when I went to the mail, I had three wonderful hand made cards in the mail.  Happy Dance!!!  I just love getting fun mail.  Expecially, hand made cards.  They just chere the world up.  One of the cards was from Shannon West.  She began a # movement called #imbringingbirthdaysback  She wanted to make birthday’s special and more than just a Facebook happy birthday.  Though, I really loved all my facebook birthday wishes.  It was nice to receive a card from Shannon and others.  My card was #1593 .  Yes, she has sent over 1500 cards this year.  I think her goal was to send 2000 cards.  Wow!!  I can not even imagine :>

The butterfly has Wink of Stella on it.  So it shimmers so beautifully…  I really love the triangle background that is from a past Paper Pumpkin.   Maybe one day we will have dies like this.  Stampin’ gods are you lissinging???  Maybe a set triangles, circles, squares…I know I’m not asking for to much….

The second card is from a Stamping friend over at Momo Makes. Imagene is a very talented stamper.  I know you want to check her creative style out at Mono Makes. She used a stamp set that I don’t have. But, after seeing what Imagene created I’m definitely wanting it! The drive-in marquee is fantastic

This bold stamp makes it so easy to make  quick and easy yet, amazing cards.

The third card is from a dear friend and one of my team members. Her cards appear here on my blog from time to time. Kim also, has a great stamping style.  The simplicity of her card is really pretty. She set such a wonderful scene  with the swing, pillows, and cat.

If you have not heard Stampin’ Up! is having a Designer Series Paper sale.  Just so that you know, paper stacks and Specialty Designed Series Paper are not included in the sale. This is a perfect time to stock up on all your favorite papers!!!

I have been busy making cards and working towards my first Pop-Up class through Meet Up.  These classes will be set up like a card buffet.  The main thing to know is that these classes are only available to Westside Paper Creations Meet Up group.  You can join the group at Meet Up

Thank you for stopping by today! I hope your Friday was fabulous! Happy Crafting and Much Love

A little Moroccan Nights fun…

Posted by on Sep 28, 2016 in Moroccan Nights, Uncategorized | 0 comments

I’m sitting on the  and there is a worm breaze blooing.  The most beautiful sun set, brillant reds and yellows fading into the crisp night sky all outlineing the white washed building.  In the background a blind of dance music is emarging along with the smells of wonderful quizine.  I am stamping with a new stamp set, while life passes by.   No, really…. The Moroccan Nights stamp set brings to mind images of Moroccan arcutextre, textiles, and  design.  SO, I thougth I would pretend for a moment that I was in Morocco enjoying stamping on a lazy summer night…

Moroccan Nights

I love all the images in this set.  Expecially the large tile!!!  The design is so detailed and makes me think of a old world floor tie or maybe, a desgin of a wonderful silk scarf…

I had several crafty friends that I wanted to send cards to and decided this was just the perfect set to use. I made several background with the large tile stamp.  After making my bacgrounds I decided to make each card a little different by change up the layers with the sentament….IMAG3535

This was such a fun collection of cards to play with.  I just love how each has it’s own personalty…Do cards have personalities…inanament object……….well, these inamanante cards have something…..

Each background was made by stamping in the color of ink then lightly spritzing the samp with water. Finally stamping.  After the backgrounds dried I added the hello die cut and the word friend using the Labeler Alphabet stamp set.  I just love how Moroccan Nights lends it’s self to making multipule cards fun, quick, and easy :>
