Hello friends! Today is the Blogging Friends Blog Hop! We are all sharing inspiration basses on the theme spring wedding. I will be totally honest with you. I had a card idea in mind and made the cards. Unfortunately, I totally forget the wedding part. Instead of entirely remaking my card, I decided to share them with you anyway with the idea that if you just simply change the sentiment you have a wonderful wedding card.
The stamp set I decided to use is the Good Morning Magnolia stamp set. I truly love using this stamp set. You can color it and it is beautiful. You can use it in simple stamping and it is beautiful. This makes for a very versatile set. That along with the sentiments just really makes it awesome!

I also used the Woven Heirloom stamp set and the Kindness and Compassion stamp set. Both of these sets have wonderful sentiments. I really like the font of both.

I reach for the thinking of you in Woven Heirloom all the time! I also use the Thank you in Kindness and Compassion just as much! So let’s get on with why you are here! Cards, right???
- Each card features a Magnolia simply stamped in Highland Heather on Purple Posey paper
- The sentiment is also stamped in the same Highland Heather
- The stitched rectangle dies gives a little extra details
I can see giving a set of the above card to a bride for her to write thank you’s. Just change the colors to match the wedding colors and you have a sweet and useful gift. Now, for the cards, you would definitely have to change the sentiments
- I love the simplest idea behind each card. As a card maker, it is like going back to your roots when you find a stamp that is this pretty just stamped
- The card base is Mossy Meadow
- I love the combination of So Saffron and Highland Heather
- The Woven Heirloom sentiments are just absolutely beautiful! I love the vintage feel.
- If you want to set up the design adding a sentiment on a separate layer is always a good place to start
- Also, it is very hard to tell but the paper was embossed with the Subtle 3D Embossing Folder
So, here is the question of what stamp set makes these cards into perfect wedding cards??? My first thought is Last a Lifetime

Welcome to InKing Royalty’s February Blog Hop! During this year’s blog hops, we are enjoying a year of celebrations. This month’s projects celebrate birthdays, so prepare yourself for a wonderful mix of celebratory cards. We are excited to share our creations with you today! I have had in my mind the idea of making watercolor stripes pigment sprinkles. The pigment sprinkles come in six colors Bermuda Bay, Daffodil Delight, Granny Apple Green, Gorgeous Grape, Mango Melody, Melon Mambo. There are several different ways to use pigment sprinkles. One of my favorites is to use the sprinkles as a watercolor!
You can use any nonabsorbent surface. A piece of plastic, a piece of acetate, or a watercolor pallet. J add your pigment sprinkles to the pallet and a little water to make the watercolor active. Once you get the pigments activated they behave like any other watercolor.
Using two paintbrushes I added stripes to some watercolor paper. I often see people watercolor on all sorts of paper and they make all sorts of beautiful things. I just seem to have issues with watercolor if I don’t use watercolor paper. This is my recommendation, experiment and sees what paper works best for you and your style of watercolor. The above picture shows that on the GorgeousG I got a water droplet on it. I was not greatly concerned about this because I knew I would find a way to make it work for me. Other times that drop of water would be the point I would start over.
I was trying to decide exactly what stamp set to use. This is always a difficult decision for me. I finally landed on Vibrant Vases
The sweetness of this stamp set pares well with the bold bright stripes created in the background. And to be honest, I have had this stamp set a bit and was kinda looking for the opportunity to use it!!! All that was left was the sentiment, this is where I like to keep things super simple. So of course, I reached for Itty Bitty Birthday
- First thing first, that yellow spit is driving me nuts! And yes I know it is there. I am trying hard to embrace the idea of letting go of perfect. I actually restamped this and got a Bermuda Bay mark towards the top. I decided the yellow was less intrusive
- The dark stripes have just enough water in the pigments to make them move. The light stripes have lots of water add to the pigments. In the pallet picture, you can see the difference in the two
- The watercolor is the same process as above. You can see where several stripes are darker on one side of the stripe.
- The flowers were created with Flirty Flamingo ink. Then fussy cut. They were actually very easy to fussy cut
- The “shelf” is the stem that is included in the Vibrate Vase
- This one has three stripes created from three different “strengths” of Gorgeous Grape
- There is nothing perfect about the stripes. They are simply painted on. This leads to a very organic background
- Do you remember the water spot??? Well, it is hidden behind the sentiment. The lesson is that sometimes if you just keep going the mistakes won’t matter or lead to your favorite card out of a series
