So In Love

Welcome to InKing Royalty’s January Blog Hop! Today’s So In Love Blog Hop is filled with inspiring projects that share ideas for Valentine’s Day or new products we love. We are excited to share what we’ve made and hope you’ll find great inspiration from our talented team members in this hop. After you read my post, I hope you’ll hop over to the next person on the list at the base of this post.

Valentine’s Day is such a special time of year for so many.  For me, I try to remember all the people in my life that I love.  It is not necessary about “romantic” love.  Though, the  “romantic” feel of Valentine’s Day  was my inspiration!  I adore the “romantic” elegance  of the Timeless Elegance Designer Series Paper.  This paper makes me think of Age of Innocence or a wonderful Jane Austen book.  Timeless Elegance Designer Series paper

Every time I see this paper I fall head over heals back in love with it!!!!

Age of Innocence

So, now that I have my Jane Austen (or Age of Innocence) paper…I decided it was to beautiful to not make it the focus of the card.  I cut out two pieces that were just so (the ribbon would not hide to much of the roses)

IMAG2708

The card base is Very Vanilla card stock cut at 5 1/2 and scored at 4 1/4.  The panels are Basic Gray and Timeless Elegance Designer Series Paper.  I am completely in love with Basic Gray ever seance Stampin’ Up! introduced the Archival Basic Gray.  It is such a beautiful color of gray.  (this is coming for a Smokey Slate lover who never touched Basic Gray until the last few months)  IMAG2702

The Stamp Set Friendly Wishes pairs so very well with Lots of Labels Framelits Dies.    Frendly Wishes

This combination made it so very easy to bring everything together.   The Bold Sentiment is perfectly paired with the soft roses featured in the Timeless Elegance Designer Series paperIMAG2705

Just to change things up a bit …. I added a two candy dots to one of the cards.  This add a little extra focus to the bold sentiment.

Project Life

Posted by on Jan 16, 2016 in Moments Like These, Project Life | 0 comments

What are we waiting for.  I am always saying I will do that tomorrow. Or I will get to that later.  One of my New Year’s hopes is that I live in the Today more.  To not put off doing things like sending cards to friends.  Making a meal for someone who might appreciate it!   Just do what I can NOW!  And when I think of a idea for someone to act upon it …. I so often have good intentions but, they just sit in the brain until it is to late.

Another New Year’s goal is to use Project Life by Stampin’ Up! more often in my projects.  I tend to let my Project Life items sit around because, I just don’t quite know what to do with them.  But, quite honestly.  The card kits are full of ways to make card making and jeareling much easier.  So, I have challenged myself to use Project Life at least once a Month for a card.  And to use in my planner at least once a week!!!

The Moments Like These Project Life kit is full of bright colors paired with black and white.  This is such a yummy combination to me.  138454G

I used two different card from the card kit for a great little hello lovely card.  This saying always makes me think of my friend Robin in Nashville who has a great little pet shop.  Every time, I speak to her on the phone she greats me with “hello lovely”!  And it always makes me smile.  If your ever in Nashville be sure to stop by Come, Sit, Stay and buy something lovely for your favorite four legged friend.

The card base is crushed curry.  The back and white pannel is from Moments Like These.  It is backed with watermelon wonder card stock.  The lovely is also from Moments Like These.  I cut it using the 2 1/4 circle punch.  Then backed with Bermuda bay card stock.  The hello is from the greetings thinlits die.  I use this die set a whole lot!!!!

That’s it.  It could not have been any simpler to create a beautiful card featuring Project Life!  I’m loving the results.  Let me know how you like to use Project Life.
